Milestone Press Master Planner (+giveaway)

I just received my new 2014 Master Plan Family Diary from Milestone Press in the post. Mr B orders me one every year!

I have previously had black, pink, blue, lemon and now mint!

I use my Master Plan Diary every day. It has spaces for birthdays, meal planning and of course you open up a page and can see a whole week- prefect for us with the boys now at school and all the extra activities and play dates and it helps me keep track of scheduling 4 people!

It comes with a plain white paper note book at the back and cute little note books as a free gift. Very handy for creative thoughts!

Other features of this Planner include school term dates and a month by month plan.

I find having the elastic that closes the planner amazing so extra paper I accumulate doesn't fall out (and yes I honestly have that much extra stuff in my master planner)

The past year's planner ran October 2012 to December 2013 and the next year is the diary runs September 2013 to December 2014. I tend to use the spare months that I don't need when I start in January as extra note taking pages.

(*Disclaimer- all views and opinions in this post are my own)

  6. I'm using a basic A5 diary; not that convenient to be honest so I'd love to be in to win something a little nicer.

  7. That looks like just what I need, I use a $2 shop student diary! All the extra pieces that I shove in always fall out, so I love that elastic!

  8. Yes please!

Quick tip: ALWAYS carry a pen (or five) in your hand bag or wallet. Even if you 'think' you'll never use them. The day you take them out will be the day that all you needed was a simple pen.

I have been caught out SO many times needing a pen in the last week that I don't know why I took all my pens out the week before.

    What was I thinking?!

  10. What a fabulous idea with the work I do supporting Mums with PND we hope to be able to do home visits here in ChCh having a diary like this means I could plan work and family better.
I forever have paper sticking out of my diary and losing numbers love the elastic bound round the dairy would keep my Mums details safe. Also love the fact it HAS EVERYTHING in it just stunning. :) Sonya.

  11. Great giveaway - thanks for the chance to win! I normally get a diary each year for Christmas but I think it would be great to get one earlier to start getting dates and reminders added in so it's not such a rush at the end of the year.
With so many overseas birthdays I have really dropped the ball the last couple of years and sent cards and gifts late so I'm hoping that 2014 will be the year to be on time! I'm planning to set reminders in my diary for the month before each birthday so I have time to organise the goodies and get them posted off!

  13. These look fab! My tip for keeping hubby and I on the same page is to use Google calendar on our phones, synced to the same acct so any reminders or dates I enter also alert him

  14. Oh my, planning for next year, {sticks head in sand} I have no clue what I'll do. But I do know I desparately need a planner that is visible to everyone for when I forget to tell the family something :)

  15. To be honest, I'm just hoping to DO LESS next year so I wouldn't need a diary to begin with.

The stuff that I'm writing down at the moment is the stuff I have trouble remembering. Boring stuff - recycling days, budgets, things that need repairing (or buying because The Dog's eaten them), where The Kid needs dropping off at, grocery lists. And what I'm thinking is, if I did more of what's interesting, would I use a diary less?

    Would I?

Sort of hoping so. Which also means that if it does work out that way then I would use these pages for writing instead - writing and doodling. I'd sometimes rip out pages and mail them to my friends so they see the stuff I've come up with whilst drinking hot chocolate in Addington Coffee Co-Op on a Saturday afternoon. At the moment they get letters written on backsides of CDHB paperwork, and newsletters I get in mail :P. Anything that happens to be at hand...

PS. You should consider doing a giveaway for five pens.

  17. I would love this planner! I am hoping to organise my life so I am spending more time with my girls, more time crocheting (hoping to start selling soon) and less - yet more efficient time cleaning and making my house a home. So I am hoping a good planner will help me.

  18. Oh, me please! And they look so pretty too...
My organising tip: write it down, then you can forget all about it. Hmm, well at least with this fab diary and its elastic strap it will all be written down in the same place :)
