Wedding Quilt progress- Front and Back

I have the front and back complete and basted (pinned 3 layers together)!

Used cotton batting

close up off all the lint the batting created!

It took under half an hour to cut/sew up the back (love that it is simple) over an hour and a half to baste, and it is looking great.

I now have the hard decision to make of how to quilt it and colour of thread to use. Found this blog and I just LOVE the final result of the basic lines across. What do you think?

Christchurch city has big change ahead.

We got to drive through town the other night around the cordoned area on a wee tour after our date Sunday night, and sadly its not really looking much like a city at the moment with large blocks of shops missing from the cityscape and with lots of rubble and Master W will describe the stuff still standing as " not broken by earth shakes " Here is a link to many photos to serve long term as history and memories to our city that has shaken over the past 9 months.
