Kindness Day

It's nearly here- NATIONAL KINDNESS DAY!!

It all started with the Sisterhood. This Saturday 16th February is National Kindness day. A day to be a part of your community, be aware of others, share some love and be purposeful with kindness.

I am still trying to decide what to do. Waiting for some inspiration! I plan on posting on Facebook and and blog post about what I  finally decide on.

If you have any ideas please share- leave a comment or the Facebook page.

I do hope this inspires you to do something for someone else!

Small fabric bag

I had seen a few fabric bags on Pintrest and decided to make my own and use up some fabric from my stash.

fabric

assortment of fabrics
It was a really quick project and fully reversable and in less than 2 hours. Finished measurements are 37cm long by 27cm wide.

I love the lime inside and it looks great with the top folded over with the lime green. It looks great sitting next to my bedside table with the book I am reading in it and I can also fit a craft project for on the go!

I had made for Mr B for Christmas an awesome munchbox you can check out the felt shop. This one was made to order and its great.

Denim and reversed denim

Travel cutlery

Mr B has had plenty of use of his new lunch bag with him taking his lunch to work everyday. Its large enough for a 2ltr Lunchbox or lots of small containers and a drink bottle and travel cutlery.

Perfect and Practical!

Camping!

After deciding to go camping boxing day with some friends we had 4 nights camping in Eyrewall, Canterbury. The first few days were wet and misty but the weather cleared and it got hot! We even survived 4 days without a shower but enjoyed a swim at the pool in Oxford and going to the Ashley Gorge for a dip in the river.

New Years day we took a drive to Lake Benmore, just out of Twizel in Canterbury/Otago and spent 3 nights camping or should I say glamping as we were with others who had everything you could possibly want to make camping easier.

and our tent got a little hammered by torrential rain and wind the second night....

but the sun came out the next morning and everything dried out and with a little tape all was easily fixed! It was a great time and the boys loved all the things we did and Sago certainly loved the travel.

So I am also pleased its not another thing to cross off my 30 before 30 list!!
