Simple Washi Tape Flags

I have seen washi tape flags around for a while now. I own a few rolls of washi tape after ordering most of it from here.

They are so easy and simple to make and you just need

Washi Tape

Scissors

Toothpicks

Choose a Washi tape and cut a 2'' strip of tape. Place the toothpick in the middle of the sticky side. Fold the washi tape sticky sides together and make sure the tape lines up. I cut a little triangle out of mine but you can leave the end square.

Hoops + yarn

I came across this blog post. It looked so simple and easy for a nice quiet day inside activity.

I started a hoop for Master B. I used an empty hoop and some white wool.

He picked out the colours of wool he wanted. I was surprised at how quickly he picked up the basic idea weaving the wool between the sections. up down up down up down.

The needle I found had a large eye so he could re thread the needle himself.

I just love watching his fingers work and the concentration on his face.

Such a fun easy project that grew so quickly. Well done Master B!

where did 6 years go?

Today my baby is 6. You can read his 5 year old  post and 4 year old post.

I think about where 6 years has gone and realise that most of it we have had sleep deprivation and many trips to the doctor and more hugs than I can count!

I am so very thankful you now at 6 you can sleep through the night. (whooo!!!!)

You have grown up so fast!

Everything you do is with care and compassion and curiosity.

You love your brother and think the world of him. 

You are loving school and love to learn. You are becoming so independent.

We are not lacking photos of funny faces!

You love the time with us and  there is always a hug when you need one

You love lego and building, creating, drawing

And sometime soon I can see you being taller than your brother

Project Life 2014 Week Twenty-eight

We have survived the first week of the school holidays. This has done with the help of many play dates it being Mr B's birthday and Mr B's brother visiting for a few days. Sadly Master W hasn't been very well so we have spent a few quiet days at home.

So thankful to see the sunshine!

We enjoyed the Christchurch Brickshow. So much Lego to see and enjoy!

I have really been enjoying walking the dog in the late afternoons as the sun is setting.

Project Life 2014 Week Twenty-seven

It was a very busy last week of the School term. We had the art auction, shared lunch, basketball. busy busy busy. 

Master B lost tooth number 5.

I have noticed the height difference gap is closing with the boys but Master B is still taller. just.

I really enjoyed playing with picmonkey and taking the 9 photos in a row I took of them standing next to each other and putting them in the 3x3 and printing 6x4.
